Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Tefluent (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and Tefluent.
2. What Tefluent is
Tefluent is an independent study platform designed to help learners prepare for the TEF Canada and TCF Canada French language examinations. All study materials, lessons, mock exams, and practice drills on this platform are created by Tefluent for educational purposes only.
Tefluent is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected tothe Chambre de commerce et d'industrie de Paris (CCI Paris Ile-de-France), France Education international, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), or the Government of Canada. “TEF Canada” and “TCF Canada” are third-party examinations. We use these names descriptively to indicate the exams our study materials are designed to help you prepare for.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You may not share your account with others or create accounts for third parties without their consent.
- You must provide accurate information when signing up.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Copy, reproduce, distribute, or resell any content from the platform without written permission.
- Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the platform.
- Attempt to circumvent any access controls, security features, or payment requirements.
- Use the platform in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
- Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation with any person or entity.
5. Intellectual property
All content on Tefluent, including lessons, practice questions, audio, graphics, and course structure, is owned by Tefluent or licensed to us. Some content draws on open-licensed sources (including Tatoeba, Wiktionary, Lexique, and Project Gutenberg) and is credited accordingly. Nothing on this platform grants you a licence to reproduce or redistribute our proprietary content.
6. No guarantee of exam results
Tefluent provides study materials and practice tools to help you prepare. We do not guarantee any particular score on the TEF Canada, TCF Canada, or any other examination, and we make no representations about your likelihood of achieving any specific score, immigration outcome, or Express Entry result. Exam performance depends on many factors outside our control.
7. Payments and subscriptions
Paid features (Pro plan) are currently in development. When payments launch, the applicable pricing, billing terms, and refund policy will be presented to you before purchase and will form part of these Terms. Until then, all features remain free to access.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tefluent is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including any reliance on study materials or mock-exam results. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new “last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
